The New Decider is an interactive watch by London designer Crispin Jones. As the seconds tick round the words “yes” and “no” are alternately displayed. When you need to make a decision, simply glance at the watch for your answer (or if you are inclined to cheat you can pull up the winding crown to temporarily stop the mechanism). A magnifying dome sits just above the answer window to aid visibility. It might not make the right decision every time, but as the American motivational speaker Brian Tracy puts it, "Decisiveness is a characteristic of high-performing men and women. Almost any decision is better than no decision at all."

Mr Jones believes the watch to be a curious object, its functional aspect largely redundant due to the abundance of mobile phones and computers which both keep impeccable time. This redundancy liberates the watch allowing it to become more playful and carry some alternative functionality. We delight in the way this watch ignores convention and are glad to offer a brilliant design piece that does not require a mortgage. We also love the fact that Mr Jones watches are made by a small design firm, this is not a mass produced product.

The watch comes in a MJW presentation box with a specially commissioned artwork by artist Kate Street. Inside the box you'll find the guarantee card - every watch is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase against any original manufacturing defect.
